pancakeLEFTOVERS: December

I feel like this post should be more of a pancakeLEFTOVERS: 2010 edition, but I think that would be way too predictable and somewhat complicated. If you think about it, as I already have, it would be more of a pancakeLEFTOVERS of all my pancakeLEFTOVERS, since I do a recap post at the beginning of each month. Does that even make any sense? If not, just nod your head and excuse my sleep-deprived speak. The month of December was something I would like to classify as a beautiful breakdown. While most slowly worked up their holiday cheer, I slowly lost mine with the passing of each week. Not to sound dramatic or anything, but working 45 hours a week can do that to one's spirit. When it came to Christmas itself, I was so happy to have a day off that I missed the morning and slept through a good chunk of the afternoon. I'm glad to say, however, that by the time New Year's Eve rolled around the corner, I regained some of my lost holiday cheer and ended the year with a complete bang. Before heading out for the night, I spent my day cleaning out my entire room and closet (and I would just like to say, it has never looked better). I was determined to go into 2011 clutter free both physically and mentally, and so far, three days into the new year, my plan seems to have worked. I really feel as if I  ended the year on a good note and started off this new one on the right foot. I rang in NYE with new friends, lots of smiles, and hours and hours of dancing in the city, and I am so very excited to see what comes my way in 2011. Now, without further ado, here is a final look at 2010, with my favorite December leftovers.

Little did you know, THIS is how I was feeling about taking off my warm beanie and coat. It was probably like 40 degrees out that day. And for a California girl like me, 40 degrees feels like 5. Also, I can't believe I just posted this silly picture!

Le Societe: One part Chambord, one part Herradura Agave Syrup, a spritz of lemon juice, and fresh blueberries. Also known as: absolutely delicious.

Nothing begins a day off  like a morning filled with a hearty avocado, bacon and tomato skillet, with a side of fruit and a warm sourdough muffin.

Having lunch with me typically involves me embarrassing you by taking pictures of your food. Ah, the life of a blogger. The photo of this tasty Granada Salad from one of my all-time favorite restaurants, Crepevine, is courtesy of my friend. And don't worry, a food post on Crepevine is totally on it's way.

Now that you've all seen my with my naturally curly hair, do you remember when you used to see me like this? I happen to think I look the same, but some say it's like night and day. What do you think?

I don't like to take myself too serious. Smiling is my favorite.

Goodbye 2010!

I would like to thank each and every one of you for being a big part of my 2010. I started my blog in August, and I while I have thoroughly enjoyed working on all of my posts, I have to say one of the best parts about blogging has to be all of the relationships I have built with my blogger buddies. You guys are awesome, and I can't wait to share 2011 with each and every one of you.
