If there is one thing that I have learned in the last couple of days, it is that at the moment it seems like everything is falling apart and you so desperately want to throw in the towel and give up, all you need is one more push to keep going, and you will make it through. This past week or two has been a bit bumpy. So bumpy, that as I was riding through the road of life, I was completely unprepared to run into a few flats. Here I was just riding along, when all of a sudden, the road completely changes from a smooth, steady path, to a rocky, twisty dirt pass. I have to admit, that I was a bit blind-sighted by the changes. The path became so dark and jagged that at one point, I almost considered saying, "Forget it," and turning around. But then I realized that when the road around you gets rocky, you don't just turn around, give up, and let the lousy, rocky road win. You get better tires, and you plow on through. So, that's just what I did. I traded in my wimpy, bicycle-like tires, for some Grade-A, 36'' Hummer tires, and now, I'm ready to let my giant tires leave their mark.  

P.S. -- I'm planning to get back to all your thoughtful comments as soon as I get a moment to myself! This past week or so has been tremendously busy with work and other housekeeping issues (aka dealing with my car situation). BUT, I finally have a day off coming up (yes, I worked ALL weekend and even on Memorial Day), so I can finally catch up on my blog!
