In college, I remember scolding friends (yes, really) for wearing sweats in public. I always considered it as a sign of defeat - you gave up on trying and the result was that you wore sweatpants. BUT (and here's where you get to call me a hypocrite), I loved, loved, loved wearing sweats in the comfort of my own home. There was nothing more satisfying then taking off work clothes and putting on a pair of sweats and lounging out. Now, many years later, I still cringe a bit when I see people wearing sweats in public (sorry - can't lie to ya), but my love for wearing sweats at home has grown deeper. Since those days in college, I've found that the sweat pants game has gone up a notch or two. Case in point: MeUndies.

pancakeLEFTOVERS: Mel Scouts
I've always been a simple gal when it comes to jewelry and accessories. For me, the more unique the piece, the more I gravitate towards it. When I was younger, I loved going through my mom's jewelry collection to pick out pieces that I would later "borrow" and wear. And the best part about it? No one else had those same pieces.
A little while back, I came across Melody Yip via the nifty world of Instagram and instantly gravitated towards her curate vintage jewelry shop, Mel Scouts. Through Mel Scouts, Melody fulfills her "restless spirit" by constantly learning about and scouting for beautiful vintage jewelry. Today, in another round of pancakePROFILES, I'm sharing a bit more about the Mel and her passion for curating vintage pieces.

Just Another Coffee Critter
Snapped some quick outfit photos with my trusty iPhone (hey, don't judge now...) this past weekend. This outfit kind of just came together in five minutes or less (which almost never happens), and I actually quite love the result. A basic black button-up, paired with distressed denim, and a play of prints = instant success. Am I right? I scooped up these sandals last weekend and they're basically the closest I will get to Birkenstocks, I think. Not only are they ever-so-adorable, but they're comfortable as hell. Feels like my feet are walking on clouds. For outfit deets and more quick pics, click below.

pancakePRIZES: Gilt City and La Marca Spa Event Giveaway
San Francisco, it's time to treat yourself. Gilt City and La Marca Prosecco are having a fun little soiree for all those who are ready to get pampered. Join us, next Thursday, June 26th at my favorite city salon, Beauty Company for champs, manis, pedis and more! There are two sessions available: 6 - 7:45 pm or 8 -9:45 pm. Tickets are $35 through Gilt, but I'm offering two free tickets for my lovely readers!
My favorite type of "me" time is actually yoga. Don't get me wrong, I love a mani pedi and massage, but nothing gets me calm like an hour long yoga session. What about you? Comment below with your favorite "me" time ritual, along with which session you'd like to attend, and you'll be entered for a chance at a ticket! I'll email winners on Wednesday, June 25th, so be sure to leave your contact info!

Play The Field
If there's one thing I love about baseball games, it's the food. Okay, I love the Giants, you guys, but I also really love the food. My favorite ballpark snack is definitely, without a doubt, the crab sandwich. If you've been to AT&T park and haven't treated yourself to the crab sandwich, you are doing yourself a disservice. It may cost you a pretty penny ($17?), but it is worth it! A couple other ballpark faves: the garlic fries (duhhh, with extra ketchup) and watermelon beer ('tis the season for 21st Amendment's watermelon wheat!). Leave it to me to start off a baseball-inspired OOTD post with thoughts of food, right?

Hello, Hayes Valley
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of working with Bay Area-based photographer, Mawiyah Johnson. We shot in my favorite neighborhood in the city, Hayes Valley, and it was the perfect Saturday afternoon. The sun was shining, a cute little neighborhood party was taking place, and once we were done snapping photos, I got to spend some time all to myself in Patricia's Green, with a latte in hand. Even though I shoot in Hayes time and time again, I'm always so excited to see the different ways different photographers capture the same spots.

I rarely post about upcoming weekend events, but with so many cute things going on, I thought I'd help share some things that I think you've gotta try. Be warned, most of this list is comprised of foodie nods, but since you presumably also like food, I thought you wouldn't mind. If you like this type of post, let me know and I'll add weekend roundups to my schedule of posts!

pancakePROFILES: Bun Mee
Foods originating from the eastern hemisphere happen to satiate my palette more so than not. I'm a lover of Japanese food, Indian food, Filipino food, Vietnamese food, and more. While I gravitate more towards traditional asian food, I won't say no to a delicious fusion dish. If we are being totally honest with one another, I never really crave sandwiches. But, when I do, I crave a fresh, spicy bánh mì. Cue Bun Mee - my SF staple when it comes to the perfect Vietnamese stop. I had a chance to connect with restaurant entrepreneur, Denise. Denise left her career in corporate law to follow her passion of running her own business. Luckily for us San Franciscans, that meant opening up Bun Mee.
As part of my pancakePROFILES series, I asked Denise a series of questions from what inspired her to open Bun Mee to her favorite pancake (of course). Curious cats and foodies at heart, read more after the jump!

The Brownie and Madam Optical Co. Blogger Brunch
A little known (but maybe not-so-secret) about me is that I wear glasses. There used to be a time when I'd rock my specs full time, but as I grew older, contacts were easier to wear, and great fitting frames were hard to find. Nonetheless, every single night, I take out my contacts to give my eyes a rest and put on my frames. I've always settled for glasses I sort of liked, because I knew I'd only wear them at night. And then, I was introduced to Brownie and Madam and I'm happy to report that I've found a set of specs that I can't get enough of.

Red Zone
One thing that I love so dearly about San Francisco is that it's a city full of movers and shakers. A community of collaborators. Being a blogger has allowed me to work with many different people - from brands to bloggers to artists and photographers - it's all been such a fun ride. I recently collaborated with a new local photographer, Lux, who has a very different from any style of shooting than I'm used to, but that's what makes it great. Working with different styles of photographers has definitely helped me grow in my "art" as a blogger. What started as just a place to showcase my outfits and daily eats, has now turned into a place to grow creatively. I'm looking forward to more shoots with Lux - something tells me you guys are going to get different vibe than what you're used to on here. And this is just a taste. As usual, I am always looking to collab with new photogs and creative souls. If that sounds like you, you know where to find me.

Join Me! FREE Target C9 by Champion Boot Camp Class, 6/14
You all know that I love to work up a sweat. Even more, I love to work up a sweat in some cute threads. I have to admit that I haven't been on my A-game lately, especially due to last month's whirlwind weeks, but it's a new month and the perfect time to get back into tip-top shape. Luckily for me, beach body season doesn't really start until September or October, here in San Francisco, so I'm not too, too far behind. I finally got myself back into my yoga routine this past weekend, and I'm looking forward to incorporating more gym time in the days to come, starting with a free boot camp class by Target C9 by Champion this Saturday, June 14th at 2:00 PM at Marina Green Park in the city.

pancakeLEFTOVERS: May
May was a whirlwind. So much so, that I can't even fathom how there was even enough time to do all that was done. Short on time, or not, May was a wonderful month. Things really started speeding up (to be honest, at times, it was difficult keeping up!), but that's how I like it. I love being busy. Busy in a good way. That means busy with family, busy with friends, busy with work, and busy with blogging. In May, I cut my hair, I dyed my hair, I went wine tasting, I found out that I was a stellar hula-hooper, I went to my first Giants game of the season, I went to LA, I met my ultimate vlogger girl crush, and more (so, so much more). May was a month of celebration, filled with time well-spent with many dear to my heart. Here's a short little recap of my May moments - a video, to help you feel like you were there, and a full stack of sticky sweet pics, after the jump.

Until The Sun Comes Up Over Santa Monica Boulevard
And there she is! If you've been wondering where I've been this last week, I've been away on a work trip in LA. I had every intention of scheduling some posts for you all before I left, as I hate to go through long periods of time without posting, but my work schedule was a crazy one and I hardly had time to sleep! But now I'm back and just had to share this OOTD post on the one day of my trip that I managed to gather some time and hit the beach.
