August has always been a special month for the bloggy - did you know that this August marks four years of pancakeSTACKER? Imagine that. Never would I have thought that my blog would be what it is today. Blogging has always been much more than just sharing photos of my outfits and the latest food I'm stuffing my face with. Along the way, I've made some true homies, worked with some amazing brands, gained some solid career experience, and, of course, learned more about myself and the kind of person I want to be. It goes without saying (but I'll say it for the record) that this blog would be nothing without all the support that I'm lucky enough to have from all my supporters. I guess you can say that this edition of pancakeLEFTOVERS is a pretty special. It truly was a great month - seriously. But, before we look forward to alllll the good things to come in September, let's take one more look back at the one that came before. Here we go.
Okay, so I'm cheating a little with this one, but I consider this collab to be the start of a great month. I've always been a fan of LeTote and was so very excited to work on such a fun project with them.We filmed on the last day of July, but the final video came out in August, so that counts for August, right?
I attended my first horse show last month thanks to Ariat! (Trust, I've been waiting so long to use that equestrian emoji for my Instagram photo, haha!) Ariat was kind enough to invite me for a delicious lunch and learn - we talked boots, horses, and more. Another check off the bucket list!
I was pretty lucky to see some of my absolute favorite performers last month (Flume twice in one year??). You already know my inner festival child came out to play for Outside Lands, but I also had a chance to see Portugal. The Man perform at a small, intimate concert not too long after. Portugal is amazing live - if you're a fan, you must, must see them!
And, of course, Outside Lands wouldn't have been what it was if it wasn't for my sponsors Chictopia and Restricted Footwear. I can't thank them enough for partnering up with me and making my OSL experience that much more exciting.
Towards the end of the month, I also partnered up with Athleta! I hosted an early morning Zumba class and boogied down with my gal pals. I was absolutely floored by how many of my friends made it out to an 8am Saturday workout class. I can't even begin to tell you how much it meant to me.
And, if all of that up there wasn't enough, I also was called a cool girl by Refinery29. I've said it before and I'll say it again - getting called out by others is seriously just syrup on the stack. Truly an honor to be recognized alongside so many talented SF bloggers. Shout out to Jenny for taking the photo that made it on the site, and to Melissa for capturing the photos that made it the post Refinery called out!!
Did I mention how amazing August was? The last week of the month, the temperature in SF finally hit a consistent 70+ degrees. Suns out, buns out, guys. I spent the last week of the month soaking up the sunshine. One day I spent an afternoon at Dolores with my gal pal Brandy, and then the other, I hit up Baker Beach (my first time there!) with Alyssa. We had a baller picnic, saw some dolphins (yes, dolphins!), and got our tans out. Pretty stoked that I got a chance to wear my bathing suit at least once this summer, ha.
And, as per usual, don't forget to press play and check out some moments that made it to film. (More of my videos, here.)
September starts today and I'm ready for the next chapter. Some good things are on the way. Even my fortune cookie agrees...the best is yet to come.
Wow, such a good month! And, umm, that Zumba clip. I'm dying. ;)
