It's that time again - another Beauty Bites post, y'all ready? Here we go. I recently had the pleasure of partnering with bareMinerals to test out their new Complexion Rescue Tinted Gel Cream, which launched just last week. I was really excited to try this because as someone who doesn't use powder or foundation, a light, moisturizing tinted cream is basically about as "foundation-y" as I will get. I know that sounds a little silly, but it's true! While I love what powders and foundations do for the skin, I personally tend to overheat (seriously) when I wear them, so I stick to moisturizers (or BB creams, if I am feeling especially fancy). So, when I was invited to try out bare's newest product launch, I thought it couldn't have been a more perfect fit.
As I've mentioned in past Beauty Bites posts, I've recently started to up my makeup game, which basically means I've turned into more of a product junkie, hungry for the best of the best. But, just because I'm more apt to try new things, doesn't mean I will put anything on my face. I've always tried to feed my skin with nourishing products. I think the better you are to your skin, the better it looks down the line. With that in mind, I'm always conscious of what I put on.
bareMinerals' new tinted gel cream is made up of a combination of all the things I like - it's a BB cream (which is always so nice on the skin), a CC cream (which helps correct and even out skin tones) and it's moisturizing. But my favorite part? The SPF 30 factor. While I love my current moisturizer, it doesn't contain SPF, so this helps cut out one extra application step. (And between me and you, when you are somewhat of a snoozer in the morning, saving an extra five minutes is key.) It's literally everything you need in one hydrating formula. I especially love that it looks like you're wearing nothing - it helps me stay true to my natural, low-key makeup looks.

I've always been more drawn to coppers and browns for my eyes, so I also tried bare's new Ready 8.0 Neutral Palettes. First, I prepped my lids with bare's 5-in-1 Cream Eyeshadow in a shell color, which I've been using since last year. It really, really helps to keep shadows in place and makes the pigmented shadows pop. I used "The Sexy Neutrals" palette on my eyes and followed the super easy tutorial depicted on the box. (Who doesn't like step-by-step tutorials?) Added a couple coats of Lash Domination on my lashes, swiped some liquid liner, and finished off my face with some blush and bronzer. To be honest, you're probably going to see a lot of this look, but I'll try and spice things up and show you guys some other looks from the different palettes.
Big, special thanks to the team are bareMinerals for giving me the opportunity to try their latest products. The makeup gods obviously heard my cry for some newness in my beauty routine. And of course, thank you to all of you for supporting these types of posts - as always, please let me know if you have any feedback, or if there's anything you'd like to see next. Would love to hear if there are any Beauty Bites topics you guys want me to talk about!
OMG, you look AMAZING!!!! All the colors look the bomb.com on you.
