Aloha, friends! Day two of Outside Lands was a blast - good music, good hangs, good people, great food and just all around good, good vibes. Like most years, what I wear to the festival is a top priority. Outside Lands is a tricky one - it's hot (but not as hot as Coachella), cold ( the #fogust runs deep), and there's lots of walking from stage to stage, through dust and up and down mini hills. So, with each new year, I get wiser with my shoe selection and avoid anything that my feet won't be able to stand after an hour of dancing. This year, I was lucky enough to partner with OluKai and hang out with their at their beautiful #AnywhereAloha booth. For those of you who may not already be familiar, OluKai is a a Hawaiian leather footwear brand that rocks at making comfortable shoes and sandals made for adventure. And, if my five or so past years at OSL have taught me anything, it's that San Francisco's best music festival of the year is truly an adventure.

Before we get into the specifics of the 'fit, let's chat a bit about the fest. On day two of the festival, I caught arguably my favorite act of the entire weekend - Tame Impala. I've seen them about three or so times now, but goodness are they amazing performers. Second fave? Kendrick of course. Dude shut the place down. Most hilarious act of the weekend? Billy Idol. Totally unplanned (and somewhat of a mistake, oops) that I saw part of his set, but hey, sometimes you just go with the flow and catch the unexpected.
Now, back to the 'fit. My favorite festival attire is a loose fitting, comfortable maxi, paired with comfortable sandals and a hat of some sort. This is honestly my recipe for fashionable festival success. I rocked a pair of OluKai's Pouli sandals in black and loved the feel. As with all leather shoes, they took just a bit to break in, but once they did, they didn't come off. Aside from being a great fit, I loved how durable they were - perfect for getting down in Golden Gate Park. And, to top it all off, it didn't hurt that the sandals matched my ensemble so easily.
Thanks to my friends at OluKai for the festival footwear this year! To see day one's #OOTD, click here. Stay tuned for my day three recap (hint: more OluKai goodness to hit your screens!). Aloha!
