You know that my love for Clarins runs deep. I look forward to the brand's spring launch every. single. year. (See here and here, if you don't believe me.) This year was no exception. Probably the biggest reason why I have loved Clarins for so long is their mission to constantly innovate and improve upon skincare. The brand evolves products and doesn't settle when it comes to good skincare solutions. This spring, I was delighted to find that the same thing still rang true, both with new products and improvements upon old favorites. After the jump, take a look at some of the brand's new spring standouts and see which products I've found myself keeping in my makeup bag ever since receiving them.
First up, you already know that I'm a huge fan of Clarins's day and night creams. I love how gentle both are for my skin and even though I switch it up every now and then, their creams are always ones I go back to after time. This Spring, Clarins launched their new Hydra-Essentiel line, inspired from the "Leaf of Life" from Madagascar. Essentially, the thought behind the new line is to help power the skin's natural hydration - just like how the Leaf of Life does so in nature. So, what does that mean for you? Well, this line is absolutely perfect for nourishing the skin and bringing back hydration thats lost from the natural day-to-day elements we run into as soon as we step out the door. I, myself, have been traveling to and from a ton. With travel comes natural skin dehydration and pollutants that suck out the liveliness of your face. I've been reaching for both my Bi-phase Serum with a layer of Cooling Gel on top right before taking off during the day to give my skin an extra boost of moisture and a nice, natural glow.
And, because I've been on the go so frequently these last few weeks, I don't have too much time to devote to my makeup routine. I've always been more of a 10-minute face kind of gal, so you'll often see that I'm reaching for the products that are easy, multi-functional, and as natural as can be. Luckily for me, Clarins is all of the above. This spring, Clarins also launched their new Pore Perfecting Matifying Collection. As part of that collection, there are two shining stars - their Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation and their Matifying Kit. Let me tell you that the Matifying Kit is a god-send. Not only does it come with translucent powder to help with a shine-free complexion, but it also comes with blotting paper, so you can soak up oil while on-the-go. How's that for multi-use? The foundation is lightweight and has a nice matte finish, so it helps reduce shine and serves as a good way to even out and prime the skin before makeup. I don't typically wear foundation, but on days my skin needs a little extra help, I'll put on a light layer before the rest of my makeup.
When it's time to give my face a little more color and dimension, Clarins has got me covered on that front as well. This spring, they also launched their new Face Contouring Palette. Don't worry, you don't need to be Kim K. in order to get the perfect contouring technique down. This palette makes it easy to highlight and sculpt. Probably the most exciting launch this season is the new All-in-One Pen. When you're on the go, instead of having to reach for different eye and lip liners, wouldn't it be nice if a few shades just came all together? Now they do. The new all-in-one features three eyeliner shades (black, brown and indigo), and a nude lipliner, so you can mix and match as needed. I've been pairing my lip liner with my nude lipstick shade to give myself a "no-makeup, makeup" look. Finally, when I want to add a bit more color to liven up my eyes, I swatch on shades from my eyeshadow palette. I like to lightly pat on color with my fingers during the day, and at night, I add a touch of water to the powders before applying for a more intense and smokier look. Easy as pie.
Thanks to Clarins for graciously providing me with all the products pictured above.
The color palettes are gorgeous, and so are you!
