In the spirit of sharing shoes that don't suck, let me introduce you to another recent pair that my feet were happy to wear: these pretty little sandals pictured above by Dansko. I'd heard of Dansko before, but never had an opportunity to slip a pair on. So, when the brand kindly reached out to see if I'd be interested in trying some of their shoes for spring, I decided to take them up on the offer. It's been a while since my toes have seen the light of day (outside, that is). San Francisco still has these weird weather moments where rain will suddenly appear out of the blue. And, even when the sun is out, the wind is in full force. So, in an attempt to keep as warm as possible, I've stuck to close-toed shoes all the way. In fact, even as I'm writing this there's rain in the forecast for later this week! That being said, I'm ready to get my pedicure on and rock some sandals this spring. So, I opted for the sandals pictured above, as my next step into spring. How did they stack up? Find out after the jump!

First thing's first: Dankso was born over 20 years ago, when a husband and wife team discovered their first product in a tiny store in Europe - clogs! The clogs were comfy, so they spread the news and shared them with friends and family alike. Fast forward to now, and the comfy clogs turned into comfy heels, turned into comfy boots, turned into comfy sandals. If you haven't heard of Dansko, you probably have seen a pair without even realizing it. Just look for clogs the next time you visit a restaurant or hospital, and chances are they are Dansko!
In all honesty, I almost passed up the opportunity to try the brand because I thought they only did clogs. After further research, I realized they did much more and touted a claim of comfort, so I said "why not!" When my pairs arrive (stay tuned for another post featuring another pair), I was pleasantly surprised. The sandals were light (despite looking much heavier) and were made with a soft, cushioned footbed, which made walking for hours easy as pie. But the best surprise of all, wasn't how comfortable the sandals were, but rather, finding out that the adjustable ankle strap was...velcro! So, I didn't have to spend minutes adjusting the fit! I was (and am still) stoked.
More proof that comfort doesn't have to compromise style. Stay tuned for the next pair of Dankso shoes I took out for a spin!
